Mr Job Wilson Mwakapina

Mr Job Wilson Mwakapina earned a Bachelor of Arts with Education degree from the University of Dar es Salaam, in Tanzania, and he was awarded a Master of Arts in Linguistics degree from the same University in 2011. Mr Mwakapina joined Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) in 2008. At SUA, he teaches English and Communication Skills to undergraduate students, supervises students in their special projects and in teaching practice and conducts research in various areas of interest. Before joining SUA, he served at Teofilo Kisanji University as a Tutorial Assistant, conducting tutorials in English and Communication Studies. He has also taught, for many years, Business Communication courses at Jordan University College, in Morogoro, Tanzania.


Mr Mwakapina has a wide teaching experience of both Linguistics (Applied Linguistics) and English language in various schools, colleges and universities in the county. He is interested in classroom research, second language acquisition/learning, language and technology, bilingualism, discourse analysis and non-verbal communication. His strengths lie mostly in the area of teaching.  He enjoys finding ways to motivate his students and to help them learn effectively.
