Dr. Nichodamus Robinson is a Lecturer in the Department of Language Studies (DLS), College of Social Sciences and Humanities (CSSH) at Sokoine University of Agriculture in Tanzania. Before joining SUA, Nichodamus served as a Secondary School Teacher and English Language Coordinator in Tanzania from 2007 to 2014.
With expertise in Linguistics, Dr. Nichodamus Robinson has research interests and experience in the areas of Morpho-phonology, Ethno-linguistics, Historical Linguistics, Language Description and Documentation (African Languages), Writing Theory and Practice, and Communicative Language Teaching (CLT).

PhD in Linguistics, a Master of Arts in Linguistics, and a Bachelor of Arts with Education (B.A. Ed.) majoring in Linguistics, Education, Political Science, and Public Administration, all from the University of Dar es Salaam.
Dr. Nichodamus Robinson is the Principal Investigator (PI) for the SUARIS 3 project titled ‘Documentation of Endangered Ethnic Community Languages of Tanzania: The Case of Zinza.’
Collaborative research between Prof. Deo Ngonyani of Michigan State University and & Dr. Nichodamus Robinson of SUA, with the titles “Genetic relationship of Nyakyusa, Ndamba and Pogolo languages” and “Grow Research Capacity and Output and Mentor Graduate Students in African Languages and Literature” funded by Carnegie African Diaspora Fellowship Program (CADFP) and project to commence from May 2025 to August 2025

5.3 Facilitated and participated in a Consultancy Training Workshop programme on scientific writing process: Proposal writing, Report writing and alignment of a research paper to publication process, conducted at the Institute of Tax Administration (ITA), Dar es Salaam from 20th to 24 June, presented by Dr. J. W. Mwakapina, Dr. Nichodamus Robinson & Prof. B. K. Kazuzuru.
