DLS offers Communication Skills courses for all undergraduate students pursuing different programmes at Sokoine University of Agriculture. These are mandatory courses which facus on improving students’ English language proficiency levels to enable them cope with university studies in their diverse areas of specialization. <\/p>\n

Through its SUA Centre for African and International Languages, DLS offers short courses and tailor-made programmes in English, French and Kiswahili languages Proficiency and Writing Programmes to SUA community members and the general public.<\/p>\n

Currently, the Department is set to introduce a degree programme which focuses on training specialized English language teachers to teach in primary and secondary schools in Tanzania and beyond borders.
