Mectrida Bonephace is a lecturer (in Laws); teaching law(s) at Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA). She is currently situated in the department of policy planning and management (DPPM) in the college of social sciences and humanities (CSSH). While stationed in the DPPM in the CSSH, Mectrida’s unwavering support extends into serving various departments within SUA on offering various lectures in law(s) and assisting in other various legal issues. Mectrida specializes in Natural Resource Laws and related laws. As Natural Resource Laws touch nature and its complexity; Mectrida has ability to traverse into a web of inter-connected laws in understanding nature and related aspects of law(s).
Mectrida has over 10 years of legal experience and expertise in corporate laws and related legal transactions. She has extensive experience on laws related to various projects both; within and outside Tanzania, on legal issues relating to exploring and undertaking various projects, as long as the said projects relate to “land” under all categories of land(s). Mectrida has vast experience in all forms of civil laws – from the onset; that is, assisting the parties navigate various key issues of law(s) in attaining their desired targets, reviewing various transaction documents and rendering expert advisory opinion in assisting the parties attain maximum required legal compliance.
Apart from being a lecturer of Law(s); Mectrida can be trusted in her exceptional ability to analyse and break down various legal communiqué, render opinion on every legal communiqué; making it simple and clear to whatever audience for correct measures to be successfully undertaken. Her extensive experience of working with diversified legal experts within and outside Tanzania has empowered her with the passion and ability to serve various departments at SUA as a lecturer in a crosscutting acquaintance(s) to wit wildlife law enforcement, tourism and related legal issues, agri-business and related corporate issues and general nature conservation law(s).
