Ms Judith Ladislaus presenting her Masters’ dissertation titled “Examining the Representation of The American Dream in Viola Davis’ Finding Me.” This study tries to establish the presence of considerable limitation in the achievement of the American Dream for African American women who have a double minority status that puts them at a greater disadvantage in comparison to other American minorities. The study focuses on the context of the African American woman because her unique experiences are often overlooked and marginalised.
