Course Overview
SUACAIL announces a two-day Kiswahili intensive training. The training is designed to equip participants with practical knowledge and skills on how to teach Kiswahili to foreigners
using modern, learner-centered approaches. The programme emphasizes Trainer for Trainers (T4T), meaning that participants will not only learn effective teaching methods but
also acquire the capacity to train other Kiswahili teachers. The course is suitable for teachers, trainers, tutors, linguists, tour guides, public relations officers (PROs), hotel
workers, tourism hotel staff, cultural officers, researchers in language teaching and learning, and anyone interested in promoting Kiswahili as an international language.

Course Objectives
This training aims to:
Equip participants with effective methods and strategies for teaching Kiswahili to
foreigners.
Build participants’ capacity in designing lesson plans and teaching materials for
diverse learners.
Introduce cultural integration techniques for making Kiswahili learning engaging and
inclusive.
Provide hands-on practice through micro-teaching and peer feedback

At the End of the Training, Participants will be Able to:
Apply modern methodologies in teaching Kiswahili as a foreign language.
Design and deliver learner-centered Kiswahili lessons.
Use Kiswahili culture (songs, proverbs, stories, customs) to enhance language
teaching.
Confidently train other trainers in Kiswahili teaching approaches.
Certification
Participants will receive a Certificate of Participation.
Course Duration, Fee and Registration
Duration & schedule: Two days; Thursday – Friday, 12 -13 September 2025
Venue: SUACAIL, Mazimbu, Morogoro
Fee: Tsh. 60,000/= for the two days per participant. Note that the fee covers only
training costs. Meals and refreshments will not be provided. Participants are
advised to come well-packed. Registration deadline is 10
th September 2025.
