Sokoine University of Agriculture has established the English Language Centre

Sokoine University of Agriculture has established the English Language Resource Centre which is based at the College of Social Sciences and Humanities.The Centre was officially launched on 14th September 2016 at Solomon Mahlangu Campus by the Director of Research and Postgraduate Studies Professor Vedasto Muhikambele.

This is a language learning facility which will offer instructional and self access learning services through integrated technology based resources.

The Centre which is funded by Innovative Agricultural Resources Initiative (iAGRI) is dedicated to offering structured language programmes which are aimed at improving learners’ language proficiency to the best functional levels. Other language packages and services include tailor- made courses for specific clients available on demand, editing and proofreading, interpretation and translation, and general consulting services on language related matters, just to mention a few. The language services target diverse categories of clients, including, but not limited to, university staff and students and all other people working in education, business, media, hospitality, banking, transportation, and security sectors.
