Dr. Suzana Nyanda when presenting a new curriculum for Bachelor of Arts in Sociology (BASO) during the stakeholders meeting held on 18th December 2023 at the Institute of Continuing Education (ICE). BASO will be the first degree programme in the newly established Department of Sociology and Anthropology in the College of Social Sciences and Humanities. She pointed out, the curriculum is the result of a market survey that indicated a need for the degree programme from both the prospective students and employers. The curriculum covers contemporary issues that are lacking in the existing curricula in Sociology nationally and internationally as such students will be equipped with knowledge and skills in using sociological lens in solving contemporary problems in the societies.
